About the house

Made slow, in small runs.

Stressless Seamstress is a one-maker studio in Cape Town. We cut, sew, and finish every piece by hand — no production line, no season churn, no logos on the surface. Just clothes we'd want in our own wardrobe, made at a pace that lets us pay attention to every seam.

Why small runs

Most fashion today is built to move fast and be forgotten. A collection lands, sells through, and the next one is already in transit. We think about it differently. A piece is cut, sewn, and finished before we start the next. That's why a colourway might disappear and why some pieces never come back — and it's also why the quality stays where we want it.

Because we're the ones making the piece, we know what went into it: the cloth, the thread, the time. Nothing gets outsourced to a factory floor we haven't walked.

What we make

Women's ready-to-wear built around natural fibres — linen, cotton, silk, wool. Cuts that sit comfortably, in colours that don't date. Our pieces are meant to layer into a wardrobe, not replace one.

Where we ship

We ship South Africa-wide from Cape Town. Courier tracking at every step, a flat R80 on any order, and shipping is on us over R1,500. Most deliveries land within 2–5 working days depending on the province.

If something doesn't work out, you have 30 days from delivery to return it — see shipping & returns for the detail.

Our promises

  • Every piece is made by a single maker in Cape Town.
  • No dropshipping, no third-party manufacturing.
  • 30-day returns on anything that doesn't fit your life.
  • We reply to emails ourselves.
