Terms

The ground rules.

Ordering from Stressless Seamstress means you've read these terms and agree to them. They're written in plain language because we'd rather you actually read them than skip past a wall of legalese.

Who you're buying from

Stressless Seamstress is a South African small business based in Cape Town. You can reach us at info@stresslessseamstress.co.za. Prices on the site are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable.

Your account

If you've registered, you're responsible for keeping your password safe. If you think someone else has used your account, let us know and we'll help you lock it down. You can delete your account at any time from the security page.

Placing an order

When you complete checkout and pay through PayFast, you're making an offer to buy. We confirm the sale by sending the order-confirmation email. If something is mispriced, out of stock, or the order fails a basic fraud check, we'll contact you and refund you in full rather than shipping something we can't honour.

Pieces are made in small runs. A size or colour can sell through between the moment you add it to your bag and the moment we pull it from the shelf. If we can't fulfil, you get your money back straight away.

Payment

Payments are processed by PayFast. We don't store your card details; we only receive confirmation of success or failure. Orders are shipped once PayFast has confirmed the payment has cleared.

Shipping, returns & faults

Full details live on the shipping & returns page. In short: you have 30 days from delivery to return unworn pieces for a refund or exchange, and faulty or misdescribed items are replaced, repaired, or refunded at our cost. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) apply regardless of anything we say here.

Reviews & user content

If you post a product review, you confirm the review is your own, based on a real experience, and free of defamatory or unlawful content. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display the review on our site and in marketing. We may remove reviews that are off-topic, abusive, or clearly not from a verified purchaser.

What we're responsible for

We take care to describe our pieces accurately — colour, fabric, cut, fit. Computer screens don't always render colour identically; we do our best but small variation is part of working with natural fibres. Where our liability is capped by law, it's capped at the amount you paid for the piece in question.

Nothing in these terms limits your non-excludable rights under the CPA, POPIA, or any other applicable South African law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date below reflects the current version; material changes will be highlighted via email to registered customers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that can't be resolved between us will be heard in the courts of Cape Town, Western Cape.
